Mission Statement
The Mission of the Wellness Ministry is to educate and encourage our congregation and community to honor their bodies as a Holy Temple, to inspire and influence individuals to practice healthy behaviors through daily routines. The Wellness Ministry supports and promotes Christ-centered programming, education, and enrichment activities to achieve wellness of body,
mind, and spirit
Vision
We envision the Wellness Ministry as a caring ministry team that promotes a holistic approach to health and well-being, centered on God, balanced in faith, and connected to others through the love of Jesus Christ.
The Wellness Ministry objective is to promote good stewardship of our temple to maintain our health physically, mentally, and spiritually. We accomplish this in the congregation and community by:

The Wellness Ministry Committee meets the fourth Saturday of the last month of each quarter (January - annual planning meeting, March, June, September, December). Exercise classes are taught by Sandra Hickman each Wednesday, immediately following Bible Study. Weighting on God, a weight-loss/exercise class developed by Mary Patterson, is taught every Thursday evening. Every third Thursday, we fellowship at the Memorial Baptist Church in their Line
Dancing Aerobics Class.

Pre-school and elementary age wellness programs are administered by Virginia Gaynor and Thomas Payne. Teen activities are provided by SOS (Sandra Hickman) and Ion Outerbridge .
